Ecute Ueno, an in-station commercial facility operated by JR East Cross Station Development Company, Inc. (Head office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; Company president: Yoshiaki Shirata), will be holding its first "Summer Christmas" event from Monday, August 18 to Sunday, September 7.<\/u><\/strong> Starting Monday, August 25, a Summer Christmas tree display and ornament-making experience will begin.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Summer Christmas is a celebration of Christmas in the middle of summer, held every year on August 25th. Inside the ticket gates of Ecute Ueno, a rare summer Christmas tree will be set up! You can experience making ornaments using empty capsule toy cases<\/u><\/strong> , making it the perfect way to create summer memories. The experience of transforming empty cases into ornaments will also give you an opportunity to think about sustainability in a more personal way. In addition, if you make a purchase at selected shops, you will receive a unique summer ornament as a gift. Let's decorate the ornaments together and complete the summer Christmas tree!<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Inside the building, you'll find summery products such as colorful sweets made with fresh summer fruits like watermelon, mango, and melon, as well as tarts made with "Suzuakane" strawberries, which are in season from summer to autumn<\/u><\/strong> .
