KURAMAE CANNEL\u00c9, a shop specializing in freshly baked canel\u00e9s, has a take-out counter (1st floor) selling freshly baked canel\u00e9s, "Kuramae Canel\u00e9s," baked in the attached workshop, and a cafe, "KURAMAE CANNEL\u00c9 CAFE" (2nd floor), which serves sweets paired with premium canel\u00e9s, "Grand Canel\u00e9s," made with eggs specifically for canel\u00e9s.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Banoffee pie is a traditional sweet originating from the UK, made with toffee, a caramel-flavored sauce made by boiling bananas and cream with sugar.<\/p>\n

At KURAMAE CANNEL\u00c9, we add coconut to the tart dough and passion fruit to the toffee for a light finish.<\/p>\n

This is a recommended dish for the end of summer when the heat still lingers and signs of autumn are beginning to appear.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

We use the rare "Apple Banana" variety, produced by Marues Farm in Okinawa Prefecture. These bananas have a chewy texture and a refreshing apple-like aroma.<\/p>\n

Top with homemade coffee ice cream and plenty of whipped cream to complete the treat. <\/p>\n
