Even though Mozambique became independent from Portugal on June 25, 1975, it experienced Mozambican Civil War that started in 1977 and lasted until 1992. During the war, tremendous amount of weapons flowed into the country, and after the war ended, those decommissioned weapons were left on the land and eventually owned by people. The project takes the decommissioned weapons and provides tools such as agricultural tools, bicycle, sewing machine, etc. On the other hand, retrieved weapons are destroyed and shredded, and then transformed into works of metal art.
