"Pushkin Art Museum exhibition – French landscape painting to travel"<\/strong> will be held at the Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum from April 14, 2018 (Sat) to July 8, 2018 (Sunday). – I heard that you have seen this exhibition ahead of you, please give us your impression.<\/strong> <\/p>\n

The theme of the Pushkin Museum Exhibition is "Landscape Painting to Travel", but I felt a wonderful journey after finishing. The flow from Monet's "lunch on grass" to "white water lily lotus" is wonderful. There was also the impression of being pulled into the picture all the time, and it was exactly what I feel like I am there. <\/p>\n

– This is Claude Monet's luncheon on the grass behind Mr. Mizutani, who will be coming to Japan for the first time, but is it actually different from what you feel, is not it different?<\/strong> <\/p>\n

I agree. I imagined various things, but I feel much more impressed than seeing it in photographs. When you hear that this is a work of the youth of Monet, you can see that the talent was blossoming from the young age when seeing the real thing. <\/p>\n

– Have you had any other impressive paintings?<\/strong> <\/p>\n

What I felt was Henri Rousseau's "Jaeger Attacking a Horse" work. Where I heard Rousseau went to the botanical garden in Paris where he drew his thought while watching the tropical plants, which is a work of imagination. Although we are also rather "delusional" work (laugh), it is amazing to draw so far with imagination. I think that it is a work with a strange aura. <\/p>\n
