Important Science and Technology History Material Future Technology Heritage National Science Museum<\/span><\/span> <\/p>\n

The National Museum of Nature and Science (Director: Yoshihiro Hayashi) has been registering important science and technology history materials (nickname: Future Technology Heritage) since 2008.
\n In the second year of Reiwa, 16 new cameras, including Japan's world-leading single-lens reflex cameras, will be registered. With this (13th) registration, a total of 301 registrations will be made.
\n A panel exhibition of the materials registered this time will be held at the Ueno Main Building from September 15th (Tuesday) to September 27th (Sunday), 2020. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

At the National Museum of Nature and Science, we will preserve valuable science and technology history materials that show the development of science and technology (including industrial technology) in Japan, and pass on the experience of our predecessors who have been responsible for science and technology to the next generation. For that purpose, we have implemented a registration system for important science and technology history materials. In the second year of Reiwa, 16 new cases will be registered. <\/p>\n

What is the registration system for important science and technology history materials (future technology heritage *)?<\/strong> <\/p>\n

At the National Museum of Nature and Science, "Science and technology history materials that show important achievements in the history of science and technology development and have important significance for passing on to the next generation" and "Remarkable in the way of national life, economy, society, and culture" In order to preserve and utilize the "historical materials of science and technology that have had a great influence", we have been conducting research activities in cooperation with related industry associations and academic societies. These materials have lost their original significance due to the rapid development of science and technology, technological innovation, and changes in the industrial structure in recent years, and are about to be rapidly lost. The National Museum of Nature and Science has established a registration system for important science and technology history materials in 2008 with the aim of preserving such materials and passing on the experience of the ancestors who have been responsible for science and technology to the next generation. It has been implemented since the fiscal year, and 285 materials have been registered so far, and 16 new materials will be registered this time. (301 cases in total) <\/p>\n
