This year’s National Plum Wine Festival in Tokyo 2024 will feature over 120 varieties of plum wine, including those that won gold, silver, and bronze awards at the National Plum Wine Competition 2023. You can compare your favorite brands and purchase them as souvenirs on the spot. In addition, there will be paid tastings and lottery sales of the rare Dassai Plum Wine. You can also enjoy the sale of innovative drinks such as plum wine beer, and pairings of food that go well with plum wine.<\/p>\n

“Umesen” is a special coin used mainly when comparing different types of plum wine.<\/p>\n

Up until last year, advance tickets were sold for 19 sen (1,700 yen), but we received feedback from customers saying things like “I use up all my tickets quickly” and “It’s a hassle to line up to buy more umesen…” so starting this year, the advance price has been increased to 30 sen (2,500 yen). Also, same-day tickets are 25 sen (2,500 yen), so advance tickets are by far the best deal\u25ce<\/strong><\/p>\n

Dassai Umeshu is an authentic plum wine made using the highest quality, ripe Nanko ume plums and brewed with Junmai Daiginjo sake polished to 23%.<\/p>\n

Dassai Umeshu, developed in collaboration between Yamaguchi Prefecture sake brewery Asahi Shuzo Co., Ltd. and the Umeshu Research Association,<\/a> is a rare plum wine that can only be found at the Umeshu Festival.<\/p>\n
