Muraji Kaori is one of Japan’s leading classical guitarists<\/strong> . Since her CD debut at the age of 15, she has been active on the world stage. Muraji has been exposed to various cultures and arts through her musical activities, so we asked her about the appeal and enjoyment of art appreciation.<\/p>\n

Muraji spent an extended period in Madrid, Spain in his late twenties. He said he was looking forward to once again encountering the works of Miro, one of Spain’s most famous painters, at the special exhibition “Mir\u00f3 Exhibition,”<\/strong> which will open at the Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum on March 1, 2025. “Ueno no Tokidoki Yanesen,” which promotes the charms of the Ueno area, introduces Yokoo Cafe in Higashiueno<\/strong> . Yokoo Sorinkan, a long-established bicycle shop that will celebrate its 100th anniversary next year, renovated the second floor of its store into a cafe and opened it three years ago. In the store, where vintage frames and accessories unique to a bicycle shop are stylishly displayed, we asked the owner Yokoo about the thoughts he put into the cafe.<\/p>\n

In “Behind the Scenes of the Exhibition,” the curator will guide you through the exhibition, weaving in theatrical jargon to liken it to the backstage of a performance. The exhibition we will be introducing is Ueno Artist Project 2024 “Nostalgia – Scenes in Memory,”<\/strong> which opened on Saturday, November 16th. This exhibition, which introduces eight artists with the keyword “nostalgia,” will be held at Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum Galleries A and C until January 8, 2025<\/strong> .<\/p>\n
