October brings Latin and Caribbean music to Ueno and Yoyogi! Enjoy free-admission outdoor festivals during the pleasant autumn travel season! Four days filled with music and delicious food.

The Caribbean Latin America Street Executive Committee will hold two outdoor festivals in October 2026, "Salsa Street 2026 UENO de BUENO" and "Caribbean Latin America Street 2026 Yoyogi," where you can experience Caribbean and Latin American culture, at Ueno Park and Yoyogi Park's zelkova tree-lined avenue, respectively.

[Salsa Street]

Just as salsa (meaning sauce in English) is made by mixing various ingredients such as vegetables, fruits, and spices, Salsa Street is an international festival that aims to bring together people of different races, nationalities, and generations to deepen their understanding of one another.

Salsa Street 2026 UENO de BUENO

In June 2015, the first "Salsa Street" event was held at Yoyogi Park.
The event has been held at Ueno Park since 2022, and will also be held at Yoyogi Park and Sumida Park from 2025, and this will be its 14th edition.
With visitor numbers increasing year after year, the October event at Ueno Park will be the largest ever , with a slightly larger venue being rented.

★20 food and drink booths, 24 food trucks, 18 shops selling miscellaneous goods, and 22 stage performances.

There are 44 food stalls offering gourmet treats that appeal to Japanese palates, such as tacos, lomo saltado, choripán, empanadas, churrasco, Cuban sandwiches, and jerk chicken, as well as 18 stalls selling colorful and cute goods from Mexico, Peru, Guatemala, Ecuador, and other countries.

The vendors are mainly from Mexico, Peru, Argentina, Brazil, Cuba, Jamaica, Dominican Republic, Guatemala, Colombia, Ecuador, Bolivia, Senegal, Nigeria, and other countries, or have strong ties to these regions. They will also be coming from the Tokyo metropolitan area, as well as from Miyagi, Fukushima, Nagano, Shizuoka, Yamanashi, Aichi, Nara, Osaka, and Miyazaki prefectures.

Lomo Saltado

The stage will feature Latin music, dance performances, a free-flowing dance time, and band performances for your enjoyment.

To ensure the whole family can enjoy themselves, we have playground equipment for children, festival games, face painting, calligraphy experience corners, balloon art, and a clown parade.

On October 3rd (Sat) and 4th (Sun), the first weekend of the season, please come to Ueno Park for a festival where everyone blends together like in salsa!

Caribbean Latin America Street is a cultural exchange festival that brings together countries influenced by Europe and Africa, allowing visitors to experience the food, music, dance, and art that have been cherished in each region, transcending language barriers.

Caribbean Latin America Street 2026 Yoyogi

In August 2013, the "Caribbean & Latin American Street" event was held for the first time at Yoyogi Park.
Since 2022, the venue has been moved to Kinshi Park and Sumida Park in Sumida Ward, and this 10th edition will be held at Yoyogi Park for the first time in 11 years.

"Caribbean Latin American Street" has a slightly longer history than Salsa Street.

I'm returning to Yoyogi Park after 11 years!

The venue is a row of zelkova trees, and while it's smaller in scale compared to a typical event square, the stalls are run by people from the area or with strong ties to it, and the stage is almost entirely filled with performers from the area. It's a highly energetic event with a strong passion for the Caribbean and Latin America.

From authentic jerk chicken cooked in a drum barrel to carefully crafted Cuban sandwiches, you can enjoy home-style cooking using recipes passed down through generations of people from the Caribbean and Latin America, offering a truly authentic experience.

The stage will feature a lineup of top artists, primarily focusing on reggae music.
