From May 28th (Wed) to June 26th (Thu), Matsuzakaya Ueno will be hosting its first "Happy Bread Days." As the price of rice, the staple food of the Japanese, continues to rise, bread is gaining attention as an alternative staple food. This time, we will be bringing together bread from popular bakeries, both local and regional, in a relay format! With the number of outdoor events on the rise during this time of year, we will be featuring bread that is perfect as a staple food or to accompany fireworks displays and other events.

<Hongo Bakery> Palm-sized bread (1 piece) from 380 yen / 1st floor Oedo Shinmachi event space
Palm-sized mini bread filled with plenty of fresh cream and mascarpone cheese.

<Fukutaro> Mentaiko butter French bread (plain) (1 piece) 432 yen / 1st basement floor Hoppe Town Exhibition Hall
It is filled with plenty of mentaiko filling and baked.
*Limited to 300 bottles per day
<S.Y.K. Egg Sandwiches> Four types of egg sandwiches (1 pack) 648 yen / 1st basement floor, subway entrance event space
A sandwich made with soft, moist bread and generously stuffed with carefully selected eggs all the way to the edges.

Approximately 80 kinds of local breads from all over the country are gathered here! From nostalgic breads to popular breads, there's a lot to choose from!
