■ Future art event "Whole Picture" exhibition overview

Period: August 20th (Friday) -September 20th (Monday)

Location: LANDABOUT 1F (3-4-5 Negishi, Taito-ku, Tokyo)

What is "Strata"?
Strata is an international "hybrid" art gallery based in Tokyo with partners in London and NY. A new type of art gallery that complements each other in a hybrid space that combines digital art and actual art, and explores new interactions between works of art, artists, and collectors.

What is "Whole Picture"?
The project is based on a novel work of art by Hector Falcon, a leading figure in Mexican conceptual art. His famous work, a famous Mexican artist, is a series of round holes in a painted canvas. By stacking these canvases, you can create a work with multiple layers, and you can see through the layers to see the layers below.
“Whole Picture” is the name of Strata's first digital project. More than 50 of his canvases will be digitized, and 1200 unique NFT (Non Fungible Token) works will be randomly generated from these 50 or more canvases. Each NFT piece consists of four random canvases. (See image below)

Also, when a purchaser purchases an NFT work, he or she does not immediately know which canvas it is made of.
It will gradually become clear. It incorporates elements of gamification to make the dialogue with the work more enjoyable. Eventually, you will own the digital work of Héctor Falcon's first digital art project. Buyers can display this on their digital screen at home, much like traditional art.

About the "Whole Picture" Exhibition ~ The World's First Attempt ~ Fusion of Real and Digital
At this art event, the works actually drawn by Mr. Héctor Falcon and a large number of NFT works contained in digital frames will be exhibited together. This is probably the first attempt in the world to display an actual work and a digital (NFT) work together.
In addition, Mr. Falcon has agreed to exhibit the paper-cutting circle for the first time this time. The circle part of this paper cutout has never been exhibited in public.
At this exhibition, not only can you see the precious circles, but we are also considering a mechanism that integrates with digital works.

About Landa Bout
The Landabout Hotel, designed by HAGI STUDIO, will open in Uguisudani in 2020. It is a hotel where you can feel the warmth of people while having a sophisticated design. “Roundabout” is derived from the English word “roundabout” (a roundabout found mainly in England), and I hope it will be a place where people from various cultures can gather, inspire each other, and create new value. The wish is put.
Uguisudani is rare in Tokyo, and it can be said that it is a truly attractive neighborhood where you can experience sophisticated culture and ordinary daily life at the same time. It is within walking distance from Tokyo University of the Arts and the Ueno Royal Museum, making it easy to experience cutting-edge art. The Landa Bout Hotel is blessed with the advantages of this area, and you can enjoy an exciting hotel stay that you cannot get anywhere else.

New daily life
The corona wreck of the past year and a half has led us to spend a new and different life. As a result of being forced to stop, I had the opportunity to ponder what is most important, where to spend the most abundant time, and the significance of interacting with the surrounding environment. is.
We believe that a rich living space has become even more important. Monochrome, mundane, living spaces similar to everyone are becoming less demanding.
From now on, I think that it will be an era in which each person thinks about what kind of affluence they want in their lives and reflects it in the space as their individuality. There will be an increasing demand for a living environment where you can enjoy a life full of humanity, such as self-expression, creativity, inspiration, and peace of mind.
INTELLEX has a vision of "Renovating and enriching life for all."
The renovation here does not just mean renovating condominiums and buildings. Renovation also means creating new creativity that goes beyond existing frameworks and concepts.
Therefore, I paid attention to this "Whole Picture" and "Strata".

Rich life brought about by art
The futuristic art event "Whole Picture" exhibition by "Strata" will be a completely different exhibition from the traditional art event.
Through art and aesthetic expression, INTELLEX and Strata will explore all possibilities together to continue to create a place that is rich and vibrant and free from preconceived ideas.
Both companies want to provide a space full of generosity, charm and inspiration that people can truly feel good about visiting, and the Landabout Hotel exhibition "Whole Picture" is the first step. It's not too much.

The Roundabout, which connects roads from all regions without stagnation, is somewhat like a hotel where people from all over the world spend time together and travel. Such an "intersection between the city and travelers"
I want to create it in this land called Uguisudani. A place as a fixed point that never changes with the people and the flow of the times that are constantly flowing. The name "LANDABOUT" is based on the desire to be a place that continues to create moments of once-in-a-lifetime meetings that are important to the lives of many people.

The result is ownership of a unique digital Hector Falcon artwork, which can be displayed on a wall and enjoyed at home in the same way as more traditional art.

The'Whole Picture' event is the first anywhere to bridge physical and digital art. It will bring together both the digital NFT artworks and painted canvases of Hector Falcon: something never before done. These have never been shown in public before, and will allow visitors a unique viewing opportunity.

The Landabout Hotel, designed by HAGI STUDIO, opened in 2020 in Uguisudani. It is a hotel with both a sophisticated design and a warm human touch. The hotel's name is derived from the English word roundabout, reflecting our hope that it will be a place where people from different cultures can gather, share ideas and create new values.

Uguisudani is one of the few places in Tokyo where one can experience sophisticated culture and everyday life at the same time, making it a very attractive neighborhood. It is also within walking distance of the Tokyo University of the Arts and the Ueno museums, allowing easy access to the latest developments in the art world. The Landabout Hotel's location makes it a unique and exciting place to stay.

The past 18 months have forced us all to pause. We have had to consider what is most essential to us, to contemplate where we can spend our time most rewardingly, and to interact thoughtfully with our environment.

Intellex believes that the spaces that we live in have become profoundly important. We should not be content with the anonymous, flat, colourless, sterile.
Instead, more than ever before, we should be able to depend upon our surroundings for self-expression, creativity, inspiration, a meditative calm.
