  • Overview
  • OIL by Bijutsu Techo Gallery is pleased to present a solo exhibition of Mika Ninagawa. In this exhibition, we will exhibit a popular series entitled "earthly flowers, heavenly colors" and "FLOWER ADDICT" from among the photographic works of Mika Ninagawa's signature "flowers".

Ninagawa's work fascinates people with its unique colors and fantastic world view. The flood of vibrant colors was called "Ground Flowers, Heavenly Colors" by art critic Midori Matsui ("Mika Ninagawa Exhibition-Ground Flowers, Heavenly Colors" Catalog, Asahi Shimbun, 2008). I did. We ask what we see not only the beauty of nature, but also the feelings and desires of people embedded in man-made objects, and the beauty of the world.

In addition, "FLOWER ADDICT" is a series of photographs of the bright colors of white chrysanthemums that have absorbed colored water and their appearance. There is a strong desire for human beings to reshape the world at will, but at the same time, there is also an eye-catching beauty and luster that transcends it. Please take this opportunity to enjoy the photos of Nagikawa.

  • What is the online art marketplace "OIL by Bijutsu Techo"?
  • "Bijutsu Techo", which has conveyed the trends of the art scene so far, is a "service that allows you to purchase art works online" that is created together with Japan's leading galleries and art stores. "Bijutsu Techo", which has played a role in connecting art and society as a medium, provides the experience of "purchasing art works" through this service.
