Mitsui Fudosan Co., Ltd. and Mitsui Fudosan Hotel Management Co., Ltd. are pleased to announce that the renovation work of "Mitsui Garden Hotel Ueno" has been completed and will be reopened on July 26, 2023. This time, as Mitsui Garden Hotels, it will be the first renovation of an existing hotel after the rebranding announced in November 2022 with the tagline “Stay in the Garden”.

For the renovation, we reviewed the layout of some guest rooms so that they can be used not only for business, but also for families, groups, etc.

In addition, under the concept of "Ueno Forest -New Diversity-", the interior of the lobby and some guest rooms has been renewed to express the diversity of the city of Ueno, where "greenery, culture, history and art" coexist. , We are directing a high-quality space, such as incorporating new artwork.

In addition, the “Panda Floor” was newly created in line with this renewal. From the moment you step onto the floor, you will be immersed in the world of pandas in a fun space.

    In order to meet the needs and leisure needs of guests from overseas, which have been increasing in recent years, we have reviewed the layout of the guest rooms, increasing the number of twin-type rooms to 11 and the number of rooms that can accommodate triples with sofa beds to 22.

    The standard twin-type rooms (11 rooms), which have been changed from doubles to twins, have a design concept of "Ueno pop", and the atmosphere of contemporary art that seems to have jumped out of the museum and the uniqueness of Ueno are expressed, centering on the headboard. The bright colors are incorporated into the rooms.

    The superior twin (+ sofa bed) type (22 rooms), which has been changed from twin to triple, is based on the design concept of "Ueno Modern" and incorporates the diverse culture and history unique to Ueno into the design. is. In addition, in order to accommodate group guests, we have installed a sofa bed that can accommodate up to three people. The art in this guest room was created by Tomohiro Yamaguchi, an artist who graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts.

    The two-story atrium lobby has been updated with wood-grained walls and tree design motifs, inspired by the greenery of Ueno Park, bathed in sunlight filtering through the foliage. Two pieces of art newly installed in the lobby are oil paintings by Mr. Akira Yamamoto (on the walls of the atrium), which are inspired by the nature and plateau of Ueno, and trees by Mr. Shigehito Matsuda, who creates works with the theme of water. It is a sculpture work that makes you feel both water and water.
