History of TGI Fridays

In 1965, Alan Stillman opened the first TGI Fridays in New York City, USA, with the timeless promise, “In Here, It’s Always Friday.” Inspired by the ambition to present “The Greatest Show on Earth,” the red and white stripes were born. With its slick cocktail making and charismatic bartenders, Fridays quickly became the “Bachelorette” of the year. It has become a meeting place for singles.
