SALSA is Spanish and means SAUCE in English. The origin of the word SALSA is SAL (salt in Latin). Other words related to salt include SALAD, SALAMI, SAUSAGE, and SALARY, and the word salary comes from the fact that salt was paid as a salary in ancient Rome.

RAICES - Choripan from Raices, which has a long line every year

SALSA=Sauce

Sauces are made using vegetables, fruits, spices, etc.

The concept is that, like the sauce, people can mix together and have fun, transcending boundaries of culture, race, nationality, language, generation, and gender.

SALSA MUSIC is a mixture of music that was influenced by Spain and Africa and originated in various regions, and SALSA DANCE is said to have been born as a salty and stimulating dance to go with this music.

Ueno Park will host an exciting festival themed around salsa music, salsa dancing and salsa cuisine, where cultures and people from around the world, mainly from the Caribbean and Latin America, will come together.
