The Ueno Tourism Association (Ueno, Taito-ku, Tokyo, Chairman: Nagaoka Nobuhiro) is holding a special event at Ueno Park during the cherry blossom season.
“Ueno Sakura Festa 2025” will be held for 20 days from Friday, March 18th to Sunday, April 6th.
This year, the “Ueno Sakura Festa” will be held simultaneously in three locations within Ueno Park , with a wide range of events, including a food-focused product exhibition with over 80 stores, including those from the Ueno Shopping Arcade, stages with various artists, and a booth commemorating the 400th anniversary of the founding of Kan’ei-ji Temple. Ueno Park is said to be the park that attracts the most cherry blossom viewers in Japan, so this is sure to be an event where you can enjoy food and cherry blossom viewing amidst the cherry blossoms in full bloom.
Following on from last year, Terakado Jimon of the Dachou Club will be appearing at the ceremony as a guest supporting the Ueno Sakura Festa . A collaborative store with Terakado Jimon’s YouTube channel, “Teramon Jimon’s Annoying Channel,” will also be set up at the event, selling original menu items and T-shirts in collaboration with the Ueno Sakura Festa. Singer Leon Shinhama will also be in attendance, participating in the ceremony and giving a special live performance .
