[TGI Fridays] Raise Your Glass to Summer! Celebrate in Fridays style with a festive “Tequila Day” festival

TGI Fridays Japan (Headquarters: Ota-ku, Tokyo / hereinafter referred to as TGI Fridays), a global brand of American casual dining chain with over 450 stores in 41 countries around the world, is arranging Mexican traditions in an American way to celebrate National Tequila Day more cheerfully than anyone else. For four days from Thursday, July 24th to Sunday, July 27th, 2025, all 12 TGI Fridays stores nationwide will offer limited quantities of eligible tequila cocktails for just 500 yen (550 yen including tax).

This anniversary was born from the background of Mexican tradition and culture — "Tequila Day" was established by the Mexican Embassy in 2017 after the "Agave Landscape and Old Tequila Industrial Facilities" was registered as a World Cultural Heritage Site. In honor of this story, we will toast in the American style that is unique to TGI Fridays! The limited-edition special cocktails include the classic "Best Fridays Margarita," the blackberry-scented "Fridays Rita," as well as a variety of flavors such as "El Matador" and "Pineapple Mezcalita." The sound of ice, lime, and tequila poured into a glass in midsummer. A toast to the beginning of summer is definitely a cheerful tequila! Let's celebrate the spirit of Tequila – and Fridays!

History of TGI Fridays

In 1965, Alan Stillman opened the first TGI Fridays in New York City with the timeless promise, "In Here, It's Always Friday." Inspired by the Barnum & Bailey Circus, the red and white stripes were created with the ambition to stage "the greatest show on earth."
