The stage is the customary southern area of Taito Ward (a 2km square area from Okachimachi to Kuramae to Asakusabashi).
About 110 stores, including 10 new stores, will participate in Monomachi 2023.

Ms. Haruka Shinji, who used to be an illustrator in Taito-ku Designer's Village, serves as the chairperson of the executive committee.

The Taito Monozukuri Machizukuri Association will hold the "14th Monomachi" (commonly known as Monomachi 2023) from May 26th (Friday) to 28th (Sunday). The stage is the customary southern area of Taito Ward (a 2km square area from Okachimachi to Kuramae to Asakusabashi). Please enjoy the fun, depth, and breadth of manufacturing through Monomachi, which is held in this area full of a wide variety of manufacturing power.
The concept is "a monomachi with many hikidashi"
The concept of "Monomachi 2023" is "a monomachi with many hikidashi". The Monomachi area is home to a surprisingly diverse range of industries and business categories. Leather products, jewelry accessories, hats, belts, notebooks, buttons, glasswork, cosmetics, vessels, miscellaneous goods, handicrafts… Diverse people, shops, and companies, such as craftsmen, wholesalers, manufacturers, and retailers, support a wide variety of manufacturing. It is no exaggeration to say that the greatest attraction of this area is the abundance of hikidashi, which cannot be lumped together.
Therefore, in this monomachi, we will focus on this “lots of hikidashi” and strongly convey its charm, characteristics, and individuality. "Manufacturing is great," "Many kinds of things are made in this town," and "Various people, shops, and companies support a wide variety of manufacturing." We aim to create something that you can feel.

About 110 participating stores, including about 10 new stores
Although it has not been confirmed yet, the number of participating stores is expected to exceed 110. Starting with Taito Designers Village, a facility that supports designer startups, a wide variety of talented people involved in manufacturing, including manufacturers, wholesalers, factories, retailers, ateliers, creators, and designers, who are active in this area, will participate. Opened about 10 new stores. Familiar faces and fresh faces appeared.
Haruka Shinji (Illustration) serves as the chairman of the executive committee of "Monomachi 2023". An illustrator from Taito Designers Village who is active in various fields such as illustration, printed matter, and goods production. The management members, led by Mr. Shinji, and the participating stores are now actively working to bring out the "large number of hikidashi" to the maximum. We will keep you updated on the details through press releases, our website, and SNS, so please look forward to it!
Distribute the ZINE as a guidebook
ZINE (a booklet produced by an individual) was very popular last year. In response to the response, "Monomachi 2023" will ask all participating stores to describe their characteristics, inherent skills and strengths in an A5 size format, and will create an A5 size guidebook by bundling it. If you look at the zine, you will definitely be able to feel "a monomachi with many hikidashi". It will be distributed at the information center, so please take a look at it and use it as a partner for exploring monomachi.
Decided on the logo
The logo for “Monomachi 2023” has also been decided. Mr. Shinji, the chairman of the executive committee, worked on it. A variety of "wakuwaku" pops out from the hikidashi. I made such a fun image. Please experience this image on the day of Monomachi.
