Matsuzakaya Ueno will be holding a store-wide event, “HAPPY PANDAFUL DAYS,” from October 9th (Wed) to November 5th (Tue) to celebrate the 52nd anniversary of the arrival of pandas in Japan. There will be a lot of events using photos of all 10 pandas, including not only the pandas currently in Japan, but also Ri Ri, Shin Shin, and Xiang Xiang, who have traveled to China, and Tin Tin from Kobe Oji Zoo, who passed away in March this year! In addition to decorations and original novelties featuring the 10 pandas, be sure to check out the “Thank You Tin Tin Photo Exhibition” and monochrome sweets inspired by pandas. Advertising balloons will also be on display on October 28th (Mon), the anniversary of the arrival of pandas in Japan! It will be a month full of panda events.

We will be holding a photo exhibition looking back at memories of Tintin, the zoo’s idol who passed away in March this year, along with comments posted on social media by zookeepers.
⑥The inside and outside of the building are decorated with pandas! There are 10 pandas on the outdoor advertising banner!
In addition to the outdoor advertising banners that are the face of Matsuzakaya Ueno store, the interior decorations such as the north exit window and banners will also feature a panda motif for a limited time!
