Background of the event
“Taiwan Festival™” is a Taiwan event that started in 2014 with a one-tatami stage and the love of Taiwan of each and every person . The number of visitors has continued to increase since 2017, and in 2019 the number of visitors exceeded 250,000, making it a pioneer of Taiwan events that has finally reached a cumulative number of 1 million visitors .
In support of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government’s “SDGs” initiative, which has been promoting waste reduction and environmental friendliness since 2024, Taiwan Festival™ will also be adopting reusable cups that can be “used, washed, and reused” !
The theme for 2025 will be the supernaturally powerful “Taiwanese monsters”
Taiwan is a very attractive country with delicious food, beautiful scenery, and abundant nature. While there are many buildings from the Japanese colonial era throughout the country, there are also many power spots and monster legends that are still passed down today.
With the full cooperation of the author of the “Taiwanese Monster Encyclopedia,” the 2025 Taiwan Festival™ will introduce Taiwan from a different perspective with the theme of “Taiwanese Monsters.”
