[Free Admission] The Taiwanese Food Festival, which was a huge success last year and allows you to experience the real thing, will be held again this year!!
The Taiwan Festival Executive Committee will hold the event for three days: August 28th (Fri), 29th (Sat), and 30th (Sun), 2026.
We will be holding "Taiwan Faasai 2026" at Takenodai Plaza (Fountain Plaza) in Ueno Park.
This event, inspired by Taiwanese night markets, will feature authentic Taiwanese food such as xiaolongbao, braised pork rice, and large fried chicken cutlets, as well as lion dance performances, offering a rare opportunity to experience Taiwanese culture in Ueno for three days.

Enjoy authentic local sweets such as mango shaved ice, douhua (tofu pudding), and white sugar cakes.

The name combines "Fa Cai" (發財), a Taiwanese term, with "festival" (祭), meaning event or festival.
It's an auspicious phrase used in New Year's greetings, meaning "May you become wealthy," and expresses a wish for good fortune, prosperity, and wealth.
This Taiwanese Celebration brings good fortune and prosperity to all who attend!!
