A new era of rising stars gathers on a stage that connects the history of the old town – an urban-style jazz festival!
The Taito City Arts and Culture Foundation will host the urban downtown jazz festival "UENO JAZZ INN '26" on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at the Ueno Park Outdoor Stage (Waterfront Music Hall).

UENO JAZZ INN, which has been supporting the Japanese jazz scene for many years, is celebrating its 36th anniversary this year.
The cast includes:
(1) Selected by Shun Ishiwaka, Japan's top drummer
UENO SPECIAL Quartet
Shun Ishiwaka (Ds), Shuba Nakajima (As), Yuya Wakai (Pf), Takashi Sugawa (B)
(2) An instrumental jam band that enjoys the groove born from passionate dance beats.

The event will be hosted by MC Ume, who is also active in sports scenes such as basketball and ice hockey.
