Hoppe Town, the food floor of Matsuzakaya Ueno, is holding events featuring popular shops every week. Starting on Wednesday, February 19th, limited-edition flavors will be available from N.Y.C.SAND, which is sure to have long lines at the Daimaru Tokyo store. Keep an eye out for the anko butter dorayaki from Hoshino Butter, a Japanese-Western confectionery shop that uses butter as its main ingredient! In addition, Kameju, one of Tokyo’s top three dorayaki, will also be making an appearance on Wednesday, February 26th! We introduce the seven hottest gourmet brands at Matsuzakaya Ueno.

<NYC SAND> NYC Milk Tea Caramel Sandwich (8 pieces) 2,160 yen / 1st floor North Exit Event Space
Milk tea caramel sandwiches are made by cooking melting caramel with bergamot-scented Earl Grey tea leaves, wrapping it in white chocolate and sandwiching it between butter cookies.

<Hoshino Butter> Anko Butter Dorayaki (1 piece) 324 yen / 1st floor Japanese and Western sweets event space
A Japanese and Western sweets shop supervised by Mr. Matsuyama of the Michelin-starred restaurant “Oryori Matsuyama,” where butter plays a leading role. The dorayaki is made with a chewy skin and a filling of carefully selected peeled red bean paste from Tokachi that goes well with grass-fed butter.

This strawberry daifuku is made with large strawberries wrapped in specially made smooth bean paste, creating a wonderful balance of refined sweetness and sweet-sour flavors.
