~Authentic Chinese food in the comfort of your home. A new style of prepared food that combines deliciousness and sustainability~

Ginza Aster, operated by Ginza Aster Foods Co., Ltd., will open a deli shop at Matsuzakaya Ueno Store on Monday, March 2, 2026.

Since its founding, Ginza Aster has offered authentic Chinese cuisine tailored to Japanese tastes as "Japanese Chinese cuisine." The newly opened "Ginza Aster Delica Matsuzakaya Ueno Store" is a must-visit for local customers on their way home from shopping. We deliver authentic Chinese side dishes. Our storefront offers a lineup unique to Ginza Aster, including popular dim sum, yakisoba, and colorful side dishes. All products are carefully prepared with the utmost care, using only the finest ingredients and cooking methods, so you can enjoy "authentic Chinese cuisine in a luxurious way" at home.
We also have restaurant locations in the Ueno area, and will continue to deliver the flavors of Ginza Aster to local customers through both dining out and take-out options.
Taking advantage of the international character of the Ueno area, the shop will also be developed as a delicatessen shop where foreign visitors to Japan can casually experience "Chinese cuisine evolved in Japan = Japanese Chinese cuisine."
We offer a new option: Chinese side dishes as souvenirs that you can enjoy at home or at your accommodation.

■Initiatives toward the SDGs ~Next-generation packaging "MAP technology" reduces food waste while maintaining deliciousness~

Ginza Aster has introduced the latest "MAP packaging (modified atmosphere packaging)" technology at its new factory, "Ginza Aster Takumi Kobo," which began operations in March 2024.
The newly opening Ginza Aster Delica Matsuzakaya Ueno store will use this MAP packaging for all products, enabling the creation of prepared foods that are both delicious and sustainable.
MAP packaging is a next-generation packaging technology that replaces the air inside the pack with gases (nitrogen or carbon dioxide) suitable for food preservation, preserving the freshness, flavor, and texture for a long period of time without the use of preservatives. This allows you to enjoy the deliciousness of freshly made food at home, while also contributing to reducing food waste by extending the expiration date. This initiative contributes to the realization of SDG Goal 12: Responsible Consumption and Production.
Ginza Aster will continue to take on the challenge of passing on healthy and sustainable food to the future, with the spirit of "delivering the most delicious food to our customers, surprising and inspiring them."
