Since I participated in the tour sessions on the opening day of the first public release, I will tell you the situation.

Impressionist painter French-born painter Monet's series "Water Lilies" is one of the most famous paintings in the world. Among the series, "Water lily pond" is here in the Pola Museum of Hakone.

Mr. Masuda has created a new world while dedicating a tribute to the technique of drawing with 2 tons of materials collected from all over the world, although "Water Lily" is drawn by pointillist.

The exhibition title "Point-Rhythm" (point rhythm) was named after the pointillism meaning "pointillism" and "rhythm" .

And this time newly added is a sound installation that showed pointillism by sound .

Materials collected by Mr. Masuda from all over the world are also used for the Christmas tree outside the exhibition room.

In this visit we got an explanation of the work from two people, the creator of the installation Mr. Masuda Sebastian and Mr. Junichi Matsumoto who was in charge of music.

Before the installation. When entering a small room, the setting of the device reminiscent of the "lily lotus pond" of the drum bridge, lotus, pond and Monet. The exhibit was produced by Mr. Masuda using 2 tons of material.

Mr. Masuda "When I see the work of Monet near, I realize that besides that brush is nothing but a contrary to the Impressionist's soft image. The work depicted in his work is not just a landscape , I felt it was the landscape that appeared in his mind. When I made an installment this time I was conscious not to reproduce the work of Monet as it is but to let customers feel the scenery of the heart of Monet's heart , The earth is beautiful blue from the universe, but you can see that people of various race and personality exist when you go down to the ground. The installation is also made with various textures and color materials. Please come close and see. "

And this time, Mr. Masuda focused on "sound" in order to further expand its view of the world.

Mr. Masuda had a close relationship with Mr. Masuda NHK enterprise Co., Ltd. and musician Mr. Junichi Matsumoto as a collaboration partner and asked for the production of "stippling of sound". Mr. Matsumoto expresses the "pointillist" which is the key to the exhibition with the latest sound technology of Sony Digital Entertainment also called "sound VR".

Mr. Matsumoto "Each of us who live scattered on the earth has memories, Mr. Masuda's installation used a variety of materials, but I felt that every single one is memorable I thought that I could convert materials with that memory into sounds, I could countless memories of sounds with spaces in the space, I could wake up the memories of those visiting the exhibition room Mr. Masuda's material I do not use the electronic sound almost in accordance with the world view.It has 15 minutes of songs called "Tenno no Mori no Universe" that I compiled this time, but I think that you can enjoy it from anywhere you listen . "

As you step into the exhibition room, it seems that the microcosm is just spread out there. In 15 minutes, it was strongly appealed to visual and auditory sensation, gradually I felt a sense as if my consciousness of what I was doing was diminished and melting into the microcosm.

After experiencing the exhibition, you can see Monet's "Water lily pond" and you will get another one. "Water lily pond" is exhibited in the exhibition "Redon hidden dream" throughout the exhibition period.
