Tokyo Tokyo FESTIVAL Special 13 is a 13 program selected from 2,436 applications from Japan and overseas through open recruitment in order to boost the culture of Tokyo, where the Olympics and Paralympics will be held. Participants with a balloon-shaped device specially developed for this project created a field in which information for generating light and sound was embedded by analyzing the architectural data and topographical data of Omotoyama Masueji Temple. When migrating, the light and sound emitted by the device change depending on the positional relationship. With a total of 1000 devices moving at the same time, the lights shimmered, the sounds wriggled, and the venue around Omotoyama Zojoji, which has history and tradition, transformed into a fantastic near-future Tokyo.
