Takao Sankakudo, a freshly fried donut and gelato specialty store located at the foot of Mount Takao (operated by CLASSIC INC., CEO: Toshikatsu Kayaba / Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo), will be holding its first special event at Matsuzakaya Ueno store for a limited time from Wednesday, July 17th to Tuesday, July 23rd, 2024.

■ “Triangle Donut” in a special panda package

Takao Sankakudo, a freshly fried doughnut and gelato specialty store at the foot of Mount Takao, opened in February this year. Takao Sankakudo’s doughnuts were inspired by malasadas, a local Hawaiian food. Made with tapioca flour, they have a soft yet chewy texture. They are extremely particular about their ingredients, even using natural yeast from 100% domestic wheat, and are well-received by visitors to Mount Takao.

This time, Takao Sankakudo will be holding its first special event at Matsuzakaya Ueno. When Takao Sankakudo serves freshly fried donuts, they are usually packaged in a flying squirrel design, but for this event, they will be packaged in a panda design, a symbol of Ueno, for a limited time only.
