A tasting and sales event with nine Shizuoka tea producers. A great opportunity to experience the diverse charms of Shizuoka tea in Tokyo.

Nihon Cha Seikatsu LLC (Chuo-ku, Tokyo), a company that plans Japanese tea events and manages media outlets, will be co-hosting a tea event specializing in Shizuoka tea, “Shizuoka Tea Collection 2025 Tokyo,” with the Shizuoka Prefectural Tea Industry Chamber of Commerce and Industry (a public interest incorporated association), at the event space “Ii Office Ueno” in Taito-ku, Tokyo on Saturday, February 8, 2025.

This event will feature nine tea producers and tea shops from Shizuoka prefecture, offering tastings and sales of Shizuoka tea. A wide variety of Shizuoka tea will be on display, from deep-steamed sencha and Japanese black tea to post-fermented tea, blended tea, and bottled tea.

Introducing the diverse and deep world of Shizuoka tea

Shizuoka Prefecture has many historic tea-producing regions, mainly in the eastern, central and western parts of the prefecture, and a wide variety of teas are produced there, taking advantage of the characteristics and natural environment of each region.
There are also many unique teas produced using the producers’ own unique manufacturing methods.

“Shizuoka Tea Collection 2025 Tokyo” is an event that will showcase the charms of the wide variety of Shizuoka tea.

At the venue, in addition to offering tastings and sales of rare Shizuoka tea that is hard to find in the Tokyo metropolitan area, there will also be a mini talk event with exhibitors.

This is also a recommended event for restaurant and retail store personnel who are considering handling new teas.
