A wide selection of Japanese sweets including candied sweet potato, strawberry daifuku, mitarashi dango… Matsuzakaya Ueno Store: The latest gourmet food

Hoppe Town, the food floor of Matsuzakaya Ueno, is holding events featuring popular shops every week. Starting on Wednesday, January 15th, the sweet potato confectionery specialty shop Oimoyasan Koshin will be selling candied sweet potatoes! Also keep an eye out for Japanese sweets such as Mikawa Ankido’s mitarashi dango and Setagaya Kameya’s maneki neko (beckoning cat)-shaped monaka (Japanese wafers) from Gotokuji Temple, which will be available from Wednesday, January 22nd! We will introduce the seven hottest gourmet brands at Matsuzakaya Ueno.

A sweet potato confectionery specialty store representing Asakusa. The Daigakuimo sweet potato is made by coating crispy deep-fried sweet potatoes with plenty of the family’s proud traditional syrup.

Ten different flavors are available, including the Red Delicious apple pie. You can enjoy the different flavors of different apple varieties.

“Strawberry Daifuku” is an exquisite combination of the sweetness of the bean paste and the sourness of the strawberries.
