Strawberry sweets specialty store “ICHIBIKO” (Like Corporation, Head Office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, Representative: Akiji Takemoto) will open a new store, “ICHIBIKO Kuramae Store” in Kuramae, Tokyo on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, as a new brand flagship store with the aim of developing the brand to provide “a fruit experience that makes use of the charm of the strawberry fruit.”

Located in Kuramae, a downtown area of Tokyo where the tradition of “handmade” lives on, ICHIBIKO values “refined beauty” and “rich time born from food culture” and creates fruit experiences that are accessible to as many people as possible.

Strawberry Shortcake <br />This shortcake uses chunky Migaki strawberries*, allowing you to enjoy the freshness and sweet-and-sour taste of strawberries. The cut design has been completely revamped to create a new ICHIBIKO staple product.

Strawberry and Milk Jam Sandwich Cookies <br />A new standard baked confectionery from ICHIBIKO that lets you enjoy the texture of strawberry pulp and the flavor of butter. A fragrantly baked cookie dough is combined with a mixture of raspberry and polished strawberry jam and milk cream made with fermented butter from Hokkaido.

Original Stroopwafel <br />A one-handed sweet that can be enjoyed while walking around Kuramae. Waffle dough mixed with strawberry powder is sandwiched between cream cheese filling with a subtle sweetness and a hint of salt. The accompanying cream and jam will keep you coming back for more. Choose from plain, chocolate & nuts, or white berry.

As a dish to brighten up the strawberry weekend “Kako no Jikan”, this cake is made with European strawberries, which have a distinctive sour taste, and is baked with a berry flavor and raspberry puree and glace royale on the surface. ICHIBIKO Strawberry Milk Base

Just mix with milk (approximately 4 to 5 times the amount) to easily make delicious strawberry milk. The product contains chunky diced strawberries, giving you a taste of strawberry pulp. One bottle will make about 10 cups (150ml). The new package design makes it suitable for a wider range of gift-giving occasions.

■ About ICHIBIKO

ICHIBIKO, a specialty strawberry sweets shop, opened its first cafe in Taishido, Setagaya, Tokyo in 2017 as a “store for strawberry lovers, by strawberry lovers”. Its roots lie in Migaki Ichigo Farm, a strawberry farm in Yamamoto Town, Miyagi Prefecture. It all started with cultivating strawberries. Yamamoto Town, Miyagi Prefecture, is an area that suffered severe damage in the Great East Japan Earthquake in 2011. As part of the reconstruction of the area, strawberry cultivation began in 2012. With the introduction of IT technology, they succeeded in cultivating delicious strawberries stably throughout the season. They also created a system to harvest and sort strawberries at full ripeness and deliver them to customers nationwide, and branded them as “Migaki Ichigo, the Jewel of Eating”. From 2025, they will deliver moments that are close to your heart and time through “fruit that colors your life” that makes use of the charm of the fruit “strawberry”.
