On February 15, 2019, "The Micro Museum Hostel (Ueno Uguisudani)" hosted the first gallery in Japan opened. Since I heard about the interview on the open day, I will tell you how it is.
It is a 7-minute walk from JR Oguisudani Station and on the first floor of an accessible building. While looking calmly based on black and silver, it is attracted by the stylish design door.

Opening the door is immediately a gallery space. Works are also displayed in check-in counters in the same space. What was exhibited this time was a work of an artist Shingo Hayamii.

We are changing the exhibition every three weeks and introduce 12 artists in one year. The artists exhibited this year are already decided, and at the end of the year we will exhibit the best awards of the year awarded based on the questionnaire from customers.

In addition, we hold a reception party at this gallery at each exhibition change. Not only guests but also general people can participate, we offer valuable opportunities to talk to artists directly to many people. It seems there is also sake behaving how it is.
The back of the gallery is part of the hostel.
The room is basically a dormitory, but it is also possible to make it into a quadruple room by advance reservation.

Three shower rooms and three toilets are provided. Slippers · shampoo · treatments · body soap are fully equipped and washer / dryer can be used for free . It is a very nice point for travelers who want to reduce their luggage even a little.

The gallery is open free from 10 in the morning to 22 o'clock in the evening, so anyone can stop by casually.
