Nadaman Matsuzakaya Ueno, the first new store to open since becoming part of the ONODERA GROUP in 2024, will change its name from "Nadaman Kitchen" to "Nadaman" and offer a more sophisticated Japanese space. While the expertise and skills of the chefs of the long-established restaurant Nadaman have been utilized in product development, by unifying the store name to "Nadaman," the authentic flavors of the chefs and the elegance befitting special occasions will be more easily conveyed to customers than ever before, with the aim of improving the value offered.
The storefront of Nadaman Matsuzakaya Ueno has been redesigned with a black-based color scheme, featuring signs and designs that incorporate a Japanese feel. By highlighting the colors of the food and products, the store aims to offer the "beauty of Japan" and "the joy of food." It aims to be a store that combines elegance and friendliness, offering a high-quality Japanese dining experience and making it comfortable for customers of all ages.

[About Nadaman]
The history of Nadaman began in 1830, the first year of the Tenpo era during the Edo period, when the first Nadaya Mansuke founded a restaurant in Osaka that would later become the base for the traditional Japanese restaurant Nadaman.
In 1919 (Taisho 8), the third generation Nadaya Mansuke traveled to Europe as the chef accompanying Prince Kinmochi Saionji on his visit to the Paris Peace Conference, and in 1986 (Showa 61), the official dinner for the Tokyo Summit was held at Nadaman Honten Sazanka-so, the first such event to be held at a private facility. At the 2005 (Heisei 17) Aichi Expo, the restaurant represented Japanese cuisine.
For over 190 years, from the Tenpo era to the Reiwa era, we have preserved the traditions of Japanese cuisine while evolving to suit the times and the tastes of our customers, and have delivered Japanese cuisine not only to people in Japan but also to people all over the world, and we are still patronized by many customers as a long-established Japanese restaurant.
