The Japanese garden of TOKYO NATIONAL MUSEUM has been opened to the public.

The Japanese garden located in the north of TOKYO NATIONAL MUSEUM Honkan has been opened to the public until Sunday, December 6 2015. Please enjoy strolling in the beautiful Japanese garden where wild birds such as ducks and wagtails are singing. This is also the best season for enjoying autumn leaves such as that of gingko and maple trees.



You can also enjoy drinks and snack foods at the temporary cafe “MOTOYA EXPRESS.” We hope you enjoy the traditional style Japanese garden.

【Period】Tue. October 27 – Sun. December 6, 2015

【Hours】10:00-16:00

【Garden Entrances】
There are two entrances located:
– beside Restaurant Yurinoki.
– between Honkan and Heiseikan.

【Fees】Admission fee to the museum is required.
Adult: 520 yen
Post secondary school student: 410 yen
Student of Grade 12 or lower: Free
Person of under 18 years old: Free
70-year-old or older person: Free

【Notes】
Please note following two things:
– No one is allowed to enter the teahouse.
– The garden is closed in case of bad weather.
