■ Exhibition contents and related plans
1. The world of truffles (exhibiting ground)
Although not well known, a wide variety of truffles (underground bacteria) are distributed in Japan.
Many of them may be delicious truffles, but only Shoro has been used in Japanese food culture.
In addition, it is known that truffles are not only used by humans, but various creatures, including small animals, eat truffles.
Recent research has revealed that truffle friends who originally grew up on the ground have evolved to dive underground.
In this corner, various truffles from Japan and the world will be exhibited and introduced along with a wealth of photographs and specimens.
We will also introduce the evolution, ecology, diversity, etc. of truffles.
2. Wild Mushrooms & Cultivated Mushrooms Exhibition (Venue: Multipurpose Greenhouse)
More than 250 wild mushrooms collected from all over Japan, from Hokkaido to Kyushu, will be on display throughout the period.
In addition, representative cultivated mushrooms will be displayed in a form that understands the cultivation situation.
Please experience the mushrooms as long as time permits by taking photos, touching, smelling, etc.
3. Mushroom Art Exhibition (Exhibition Venue: Training Exhibition Hall 2F Exhibition Room)
Mushroom woodcut works (work / woodcut artist Yoshiko Takei), push mushroom works (work / mushroom push picture artist Nakatani Yoshiko), mushroom watercolor (work / plant painter Naoko Honda), mushroom cut-out works (work / Masahisa Sato), etc. I will exhibit.
4. Mushroom food / mold food search corner (Exhibition hall: Training Exhibition Hall 3F)
Japan is one of the best botanical food cultures in the world.
A wide variety of wild mushrooms have been eaten, and many mushrooms are cultivated.
However, it seems that mushrooms that are popular in Japan are not necessarily popular overseas.
There is also an example that luxury mushrooms that are also popular in Europe and America are unpopular despite being distributed in Japan.
In addition, we cannot talk about Japanese food culture without various fermented foods using mold.
In this corner, various mushrooms, molds and lichens will be used and discussed.
5. Mushroom painting contest "Kinokon" entry work exhibition (Exhibition hall: Training Exhibition Hall 2F Exhibition Room)
Exhibited entries for the mushroom drawing contest "Kinokon" that competes for mushroom love.
Please see the work full of love with mushrooms.
The winners' award ceremony will be held from 12:00 on September 29 (Sunday).
“Kinokon” will be the 9th time this year, and this year's plan exhibition poster and flyer design proposal is selected from the entries submitted last year.
This contest is not a contest to compete for the skill of painting.
Please enjoy the imaginative work full of love for mushrooms.
