The National Museum of Nature and Science is a joint demonstration project with NTT DoCoMo, Inc., during the period from November 12th (Thursday) to 25th (Wednesday), 2020, at the XR * 1 content exhibition event “Docomo x National Science Museum XR”. We will hold an exhibition of the future to enjoy.
At this exhibition event, a new museum exhibition will be exhibited, such as observing from an unprecedented perspective by observing the displayed animal information and 3D models such as skulls while observing the genuine stuffed animals in the exhibition room. You can experience it.
At the time of this joint demonstration, the National Museum of Nature and Science provided 3D model data necessary for development and supervised the contents. The National Museum of Nature and Science aims to expand the traditional way of enjoying the museum by utilizing advanced technology.

“Life on the Earth” on the 3rd floor of the National Museum of Nature and Science is a popular exhibition that reproduces the lively appearance of various mammals and birds. The National Museum of Nature and Science, in collaboration with NTT DoCoMo, will carry out a free guided tour to experience XR content by wearing the MR device “Magic Leap1 * 2 ” in the 5G era.
In the future, the National Museum of Nature and Science will continue to consider the possibility of new exhibition methods that utilize NTT DoCoMo and XR technology.
