What is the student selection exhibition "DOUBLE ANNUAL"?
Since 2017, Kyoto University of the Arts has been holding a student selection exhibition titled "KUA ANNUAL" in Tokyo. For the five years until 2022 (2021), the venue was the Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum in Ueno, but from last year, it has been developed into a project to select students from Tohoku University of Art and Design, and the title has been changed to "DOUBLE ANNUAL". The event was then moved to the National Art Center, Tokyo in Roppongi.
How can we look at the modern world from two different points of view, Kyoto and Yamagata? The pandemic is moving into a new phase as Russia's invasion of Ukraine and global inflation continue.
Based on this situation, the recruiting theme "Inquiries" was announced at the recruiting briefing held on April 25. From April to June, works will be solicited and selected, and the program will begin in earnest in July! Continuing from the previous "DOUBLE ANNUAL2023", we will express the life-size perspective of the artist.

Recruitment theme “Inquiries” (Excerpt from application guidelines)
We thought everyone was "inquiring" right now.
The temporary period of movement restrictions due to COVID-19 has come to an end, and the world is moving towards a new phase. However, the infectious disease itself is still there, and we are all trying to take a step forward while gathering information and asking people how we should act.
It's just that this may not be limited to the situation of corona misfortune. (omission) What are you wondering and what are you confused about right now? In the environment that surrounds me, I think that there are things that everyone does not understand. Some of you may have already taken action to resolve your doubts. Please present the movement of the mind, the situation, the event, what you thought, what you noticed, etc. as a work.
