At Hoppe Town, the food floor of the Matsuzaka Ueno store, events are held at popular shops that change weekly. From February 28th (Wednesday), Kyoto's Japanese confectionery shop <Kyosagano Chikujian> will be offering their spring representative product “Sakuramochi'' for a limited time only! Dorayaki from Kameju, a popular Asakusa restaurant that is one of Tokyo's three major dorayaki restaurants and has a long line of people, will also be featured. Introducing 6 of the latest gourmet brands from Matsuzaka Ueno store.

<Kyosagano Takejian> Domyoji Sakuramochi (koshian/grain bean paste) (1 piece) 216 yen each / 1st floor Japanese and Western confectionery event space

A gorgeous spring-only Japanese sweet decorated with cherry blossoms. Sakuramochi made with Domyoji flour wrapped in soft domestic cherry blossom leaves is soft and naturally sweet.

It is characterized by its large, fluffy skin that is hand-baked by artisans one by one. It is one of Tokyo's three major dorayaki restaurants, and is a very popular Tokyo souvenir with long lines.

This dish is made with local ingredients, including “taimeshi'' made with wild red sea bream from Kyushu cooked in dashi stock, and log-dried shiitake mushrooms from Oita Prefecture.

<Uotsuru> Straw-grilled bonito tataki (per 100g) 864 yen/B1F subway entrance event space

The surface is baked at a high temperature all at once to lock in the flavor of the bonito. The scent of straw brings out the flavor even more.
