Monomachi 2024
The Taito Monomachi Association (official name: Taito Monozukuri Machizukuri Association) will hold the 15th Monomachi (commonly known as Monomachi 2024) from May 24th (Fri) to 26th (Sun). The venue will be the usual southern area of Taito Ward (a 2km square area from Okachimachi to Kuramae to Asakusabashi). Experience Monomachi, which will be held in an area rich in downtown atmosphere that has supported Japanese manufacturing behind the scenes, and enjoy the fun, depth and excitement of manufacturing to your heart’s content.
On the Monomachi website , the Monomachi 2024 special site , and official SNS accounts, we will be releasing information on workshops and limited sales at participating stores from time to time. Participating stores are currently sprinting ahead to the big day. We look forward to seeing you there!!
▼There are more than 50 types of workshops▼
Monomachi holds a variety of workshops every time. This year was no exception. There were more than 50 types of workshops. Some were individual workshops, others collaborative workshops with multiple participating stores, and some stores held as many as seven workshops in total. From the wide lineup, we will introduce the workshops of three participating stores.
Finish a leather tray made from natural leather and engrave the alphabet on it
The Alphabet Stunt Leather Tray Workshop is a workshop held by WINS FACTORY, which plans and manufactures leather belts and imports and sells leather. You will make a leather tray. It takes about 15 minutes to complete, but the finished product looks professional! It is also nice that it uses tanned leather that improves in texture over time! You can also engrave the alphabet. You can participate on the day (no reservation required).

・You can make your own original embroidered strap by embroidering the ribbon.
Seven new shops will be joining Monomachi this year. One of them, PEARL YACHT, a manufacturer specializing in industrial embroidery threads and special threads, will be holding an “Embroidery Strap Workshop.” At Embroidery Cafe Labo , which has over 750 colors of thread, you can choose your favorite thread, letters, and ribbons, and place an order for embroidery, and the staff will use a sewing machine to embroider it. Once participants have attached the strap fastener parts, their original straps are complete! Participation on the day is possible (no reservation required).

・PARACO Paracord will be holding 7 different events!
PARACO , Japan’s first specialty store for paracord (strong nylon and polyester cords made in the USA that are used for parachutes), will be holding seven types of workshops and events, including collaborations. Here is a brief introduction to the lineup (please see the Monomachi 2024 special website for details).
1. Limited sale of stainless steel earring making kits (collaboration with atelier&shop IMAIZUMI, which handles accessories made from stainless steel scraps)
