The UKIYO-E 2020-Japan’s three largest ukiyo-e collections are on display from Tuesday, August 25th!

The "The UKIYO-E 2020-Japan's Three Great Ukiyo-e Collections" exhibition, which is open until Tuesday, September 22, will start the second half of the exhibition from Tuesday, August 25.

All works will be replaced from the first half exhibition, so don't miss it!

Ukiyo-e master stars gathered together! The second half of the exhibition will start on Tuesday, August 25!

In the latter half of the exhibition, which starts on August 25 (Tuesday), the world-famous super popular Tohsai Sharaku "Third generation Otani Oniji no Edo Bei" and all the characters drawn as sparrows are full of humor. Kuniyoshi Utagawa's "Satosume Negura's Temporary Lodging" and other works that cannot be overlooked.
Also, one of the highlights is the unique exhibition structure with a series of long and narrow rooms.

[The UKIYO-E 2020-Outline of the three major Ukiyo-e collections in Japan]

It is no exaggeration to say that it is one of the three major Ukiyo-e collections in Japan in terms of quality and quantity, and for the first time, we have brought together masterpieces from the Ota Memorial Museum, the Japanese Ukiyo-e Museum, and the Hiraki Ukiyo-e Foundation, and we have about 450 Ukiyo-e prints by about 60 carefully selected artists. We will exhibit it in the first half and the second half.
From the early days of Ukiyo-e to the end of the Edo period, please enjoy the many masterpieces by representative Ukiyo-e artists.
